Is very simple; simple does not necessarily mean easy.
Meditation is a technique through which we may sharpen the tool of the mind. When we go beyond the mind and experience our essential nature, as pure conscious awareness, we experience Ananda, Bliss. The mind is undisciplined, and unruly—it has a mind of its own—which is why we often end up wrapped up in fantasies and daydreams instead of stillness and true meditation, dhyana.
In true meditation, as we calm ourselves and let go of biases, we begin to see things as they are, without our expectations and judgments. In a state of pure awareness, we see that our minds and our bodies are in fact incredible tools for our own growth and expansion. And we see that we are much more than the sum of our minds and our bodies; and through meditation we learn to skilfully wield these tools to systematically explore our inner dimensions.
